According to Article 196 of the General Safety Law, examinations are mandatory when there is a risk of occupational disease. Furthermore, they cease to be voluntary when the examination is necessary to assess the effects of the workplace on the worker’s health, when the worker’s health condition may be considered a risk to themselves or other workers, or when a legal provision establishes a specific risk.
